Newbuild vessels are long-term strategy for ACO’s growing offshore fleet
Operating a fleet of modern offshore vessels designed to carry personnel and a wide variety of cargo to offshore installations, Abdon Callais Offshore LLC (ACO) of Golden Meadow, Louisiana, continues to grow by adding newbuild vessels to its fleet.

In addition, the company plans to take delivery of six additional newbuild vessels this year, and possibly exercise options to order several more vessels throughout the year.

Abdon Callais boosts fleet

USA/GULF OF MEXICO: Louisiana-based Abdon Callais Offshore has taken delivery of a new 205-foot (62.5 m) dynamically-positioned vessel, the M/V Danielle Callais. This delivery brings Abdon Callais' fleet to 37 vessels.

The M/V Danielle Callais is equipped to service drilling, production, construction, seismic and dive support operations. The vessel has a maximum hull depth of 15 feet (4.5 m) and a working hull draft of 13 feet (4 m). It is capable of carrying 925 tons on its 132 foot by 40 foot (40 by 12 m ) clear deck. It is powered by two Caterpillar 3512-B main engines with a maximum 3,150  horsepower rating at 1,600 RPMs. Sea trials show speeds of 12 knots fully loaded and 13.5 knots light. The engine package was specifically designed to meet new EPA standards and comply with the company's own environmental goals.
